This wine is produced only in excellent years from our best vineyards.

Merlot and Cabernet Franc are blended, giving a wine that results harmonious, rich and complex in aroma, so that every time you taste it you find different flavours and feel new emotions.

About the name and the label:

“Oltre il limite...e altro” means “Beyond the limit... and even more”. An evocative name that comes from a poetry book that was presented in Salvan winery and says something also about this complex wine. The label, prized best italian red wine label in 1997, was created for inviting people to the presentation of this book.

Winemaker notes

Area of production	Colli Euganei
Grapes	65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc
Vineyard	6000 plants/hectars, with low production.
Harvest, Vinification and Aging	The grapes harvested by hand only when the grapes are very ripe (normally between late september and beginning of october). Merlot gives the roundness and the fruity flavour, Cabernet Franc gives the structure and a bit of “verve”. Vinification with perlonged maceration, about two weeks, and aging in oak casks.
