Colli Euganei DOC Merlot Riserva "Anima del Pigozzo"
In 2019, we were able to harvest right when the grapes grew fragrant and began to attract the starlings.
The result is a warm, dense wine with an impenetrable ruby-red color, which we aged in large casks for two years before bottling.
It will emerge "to contemplate the stars"* without any rush, eager to be paired with grilled meats, slabs of yellow polenta toasted over glowing embers, or aged cheeses.
* “to contemplate the stars” is a homage to the iconic closing line of Dante’s Inferno (Divina Commedia), symbolic of emerging from darkness into light after long patient aging.
